SYNOPSIS:
Support is provided for individuals to complete the writing of
their doctoral dissertations in any of the natural and social sciences
and the humanities that will increase understanding of the causes,
manifestations, and control of violence, aggression, and dominance.
Ten or more fellowships in the amount of $15,000 are awarded each
year.

SYNOPSIS:
The sponsor supports non-profit organizations that affect positive
change among children, the adults who work with them, and the
communities in which they live. The sponsor will support programs and
organizations that aspire to create and maintain sustainable and
livable communities by:
Protecting and conserving land and water resources; Educating children
and adults about being good stewards of the environment; Promoting
vibrant, child-oriented arts; Teaching respect for and preservation of
historic assets; Enabling children and adults to lead their
communities in thoughtful, creative, and healthy ways; and Encouraging
service to others.

DEADLINE NOTE
Letters of inquiry must be received by January 15, 2007 to be
considered for the Spring grant cycle. The sponsor will invite
qualified applicants to submit full proposals. If invited, full
proposals are due April 2, 2007 for the Fall cycle.
