The job opening is in the division of manufacturing technologies at the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine. The position is a reviewer position, so NO LABWORK at all--this is an office job. The division reviews the chemistry and manufacturing information that companies submit as part of the drug approval process. The work is very challenging and interesting. Potential candidates should have excellent communication skills (especially in writing), work well in a team setting, and show an interest in regulatory affairs or government work (science policy, etc). Any area of chemistry or biochemistry is welcome, but it require an advanced degree, either a PhD (or soon to get the degree) or a MA/MS with industry experience. Benefits include a flexible work schedule, Federal government benefits and holidays, and work from home opportunity (after 1 year). Also, the Agency do not sponsor work visas, but citizenship is not required (a green card is OK).
